TIME ATTACK 1 RECORD SET

In 2019, BBi Autosport undertook an ambitious project to compete in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. They transformed a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, affectionately named "Lucy," into a formidable contender by adding twin turbochargers, boosting the engine's output to approximately 900 horsepower. This extensive build was impressively completed in under 30 days.

Piloted by French rally driver Raphaël Astier, "Lucy" competed in the Time Attack 1 (TA1) class. Astier navigated the challenging 12.42-mile course, which includes 156 turns, in a remarkable time of 9 minutes and 23.721 seconds. This achievement not only secured first place in the TA1 class but also shattered the previous class record by nearly 14 seconds. Additionally, this performance earned the team a second-place finish overall, underscoring the car's exceptional capabilities and the team's engineering prowess.
